William (Bill) Pidgeon
William (Bill) Pidgeon joined the firm in 1955 some 10 years after the departure of Ian Anderson. Previously known as ‘Slee Anderson’, the firm was renamed ‘Slee Anderson & Pidgeon’.
Bill Pidgeon was appointed as one of the original judges of the newly established District Court of Western Australia when it began in April 1970. He became Chief Judge in 1977, and then served as justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia from 1982 until 2001. Bill Pidgeon was one of WA’s longest service judicial officers.
